Good news about Banshee

Just a heads up for everyone,

We know about the problems many customers are having with Banshee. The good news, however, is that Banshee is currently undergoing a completely rewrite. Early reviews of the new version indicate that it blows the current version away, both in terms of features and stability.

The new version is currently still in beta, and is still lacking some key features (like iPod support). We're monitoring it closely, however, and we'll release it in an update as soon as the new version is stable and feature-complete - even if the final version hasn't been released.

To those of you who are currently having problems with Banshee: thank you very much for your patience. The new version should solve practically all of them.
